Since its inception in the late 1980’s, the Santa Fe School of Cooking has grown into a culinary behemoth. Inspired by the travels of founder (now CEO) Susan Curtis and her husband David, this small local spot has blossomed into a foodie’s destination.
From those humble beginnings, the school has published numerous books celebrating New Mexico’s exquisite cuisine, collaborated with world-famous chefs, and is home to one of Santa Fe’s hidden gems in the form of its masterfully curated international market.
Celebrating Foods of New Mexico, is an accessible menagerie of regional flavor. Pulling recipes from current and former instructors at the school (and other locals too!), it reads like a who’s-who of Santa Fe’s local chefs. While the recipes are wonderful, the true beauty is seeing the long-lasting positive relationships that the Santa Fe School of Cooking has nurtured with their surrounding community.
